Recently precious metals such as gold have been seen as more attractive because of weakened currencies and unpredictable stock markets. However, are these really the best investment options available? Here are 10 reasons why Costa Rica land is a better investment than gold or other precious metals at the moment.
1. Unlike building land, gold prices can fluctuate because of international events and changes.
2. With land you have the same or even better protection against inflation than with gold.
3. There may be costs of ownership (holding charges of banks for precious metals) associated with gold.
4. Gold investments are also open to fraud.
5. With land, you do not have to understand complicated concepts or international markets.
6. As population grows, there is an ever-increasing demand for building land.
7. In case of a currency or global market collapse when food supply chains also may break down, you can produce your own food. In Costa Rica, for example, you may grow your own food the whole year. There are only two seasons: the rainy season and the dry season.
